I am a Certified Professional Midwife and the Director General of the Costalegre Clínica de Maternidad. I was born and raised in the United States. After spending 15 years working as a professor in the field of Child Psychology, I decided to return to school and seek a degree in midwifery.

When my parents moved to La Manzanilla in 2019, I came to visit and fell in love with the community. After many discussions with local women about their experiences giving birth, I decided to relocate permanently to La Manzanilla and pursue my goal of providing evidence-based and compassionate midwifery care to women who have few options for where and how to give birth.
